This has settled off alarms among Democrats who worry that the President is effectively going to sell them out by making a deal with McCarthy behind closed doors. Peter Welch: I want him to see on firm that we don't default. That's a disaster for every single American. It'll plunge us into recession. So, we can't default. How good is that really though?
