Youar, Is Public Opinion a Dangerous Thing?

i'm really getting concerned that the tensions in the world between the major nuclear capable super powers are getting more tense, not less tense. I think we've known for the longest time that the chinese have been angling for a higher chair at the table based on the size of the country and what they represent in the world. Meanwhile, america's been fighting desperately to kind of maintain its hegemonic status. And again, this is completely understandable. Youar, these decisions that get made in in the a kind of pursuit of being seen to green andd i insert the word seen there deliberately, because a lot of this is all about what policies will end up getting us votes.
