The Importance of Balance in a Professional Field

When we think about any professional field, how we make progress in that field, there's always going to be people who have a more pioneering spirit. And then there are those who are more cautious by nature and like to see how things work before they fully endorse them. These are just variations in human temperament that create forms of diversity that I think are necessary for a healthy society. If we were all pioneers, we live in a very unstable world; if we were all cautious, nothing knew whatever happened and it would be boring.
