The American Success Story Is Only Partly About the Words on the Paper
I'm not trying to be some pinhead intellectual who casts aspersions on people who don't follow this kind of stuff in fact I'm saying that this stuff is for a rarefied audience it's an audience I'm proud to be part of. The average American including the tens of millions of Americans who are either immigrants or the children of immigrants they to the extent they're drawing on Lockean liberalism or you know Madisonian understandings of this or Hamiltonian that understandings of that was by orders of magnitude. They behave the way they behave because they're Americans because America has a culture America has a distinct culture our institutions are formed from the American experience.
