Introduction
Amjad Tantish grew up on a farm in Beitla, close to the border with Israel. He would practice swimming around the edge without touching the walls. There weren't any proper pools in Gaza in the 80s and there wasn't a single indoor pool until the late 90s. The first race was at the university in 1994. Amjad has built pool after pool after pool to try to change that.
