The Impact of Refugee and Asylum Seekers on Mental Health
I was working at a practice where a large proportion of our patients were refugee and asylum-seekers. The stimulation that they didn't get academically had a huge impact on their mental health. And you could see that if there was a solution here to make them and integrate them into local life better, it would just have better outcomes for everybody. I like the fact that I'm helping try and sort out the massive issues around workforce shortages in the country. It's something that impacts me as a clinician, and it impacts a lot of my colleagues. We're trying to reinvigorate a project that had been running for about 18 years but needed help increasing its membership and digitizing
