What's Our Way Back From This?
If we have gone down a blind alley, what's the way back from this? Well, i think we need to respect inquiry. We need to respect curiosity. And we need to expect to respect people who work hard to satisfy their curiosity and work within a tradition which has proved very, very good - that is the scientific tradition. If you don't respect what the scientists tell you, you're either extremely clever, maybe in einstein, or you're extremely dim. 99 point nine nine % of the people who say they've had enough of experts are simply very dim. They don't realize why scientists have the authority they do because they've got a huge track record of getting things right
