Back in 19 61, less than one % of married couples divorced in the united states. Now it's 50%. How did that happen? The reason is not that people are that much unhappier in their marriages but instead, you couldn't get a divorce. You can get a divorce for 200 bucks on the internet. And so our rates are much higher. But a lot of the argument that i'm making in the book is that we are entering into marriages that were probably doomed from the start. So we're picking the wrong partner. Pickin the wrong partners.
