The Importance of Empathy in Austerity

I could have written about austerity as well. You've got to draw the line somewhere. But I think the whole of austerity does very much correspond to what we were talking about having this lack of empathy, not really being understan the consequences of decisions that are being made. The consequences aren't for us. And I can't see how that can't spread into the way that you think you're going to run the country but consequences just become unimaginable and then you can end up with 13 years of austerity.
