The Mechanics of Echolocation in Bats

Most flying foxes, the old world, large fruit bats can't echolocate. There's a couple of these fruit bats that still do like a more rudimentary form of echolocation and they orient with their tongue clicks. So what kind of sounds are bats using to echolocated in that way? Well, they use all bats use tonal sounds for Echolocation. And these pure tones can have different shapes. You could imagine it to sound like an obistle or an ultrasonic whistle.
