What Will God Swear By?
Since there is no one greater than him to swear by, what's god going to do? Swear by the archangel michael? And here we find god taking an oath. In matthew, chapter six, jesus is looking at people who use oaths to practise evasive lying. If you swear facing jerusalem, then it actually binds you. Anything that smacks of evasive truth telling, evasive lying, is sin.
