Teenage Girls Experience Record High Levels of Sadness, Violence and Trauma

CDC report: 57% of teenage girls reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless over the past year. That's compared to 36% who reported the same feeling in 2011. Report also found that 18% of teen girls reported experiencing sexual violence, and 15% said they had been forced to have sex. Authors call for more support for schools in an effort to reverse the negative trends highlighted in the report.
