There are three main ones I focus on in the book, and I talked about two of them so far. The ability to cope with reality is essentially the ability to protect your ego from all the failures or disappointments that could threaten your ability to function in the world. And people tend to assume that you need some amount of self-deception in order to get those valuable things... But again, I don't think that that trade-off exists.
