The Importance of Correlation in Training and Testing
The information really lies in in looking at the bigger picture of the overall data set. There is a correlation for how this parameter set does performs in the period that I've tested in comparison to the period going forward. That can give me much more confidence because I say well whether it's a goodparameter set or a not so good, we will know with some confidence that it will perform in a similar way going forward.
