How Many Bees Are Living in a Langstroth Hive?
Honey bee populations are much more efficient in the woods for a number of reasons. But one of the things you've inferred is that the populations are much smaller. So like with a typical Langstroth hive, the number I usually see is between 40 and 75,000 bees live in a Lang Stroth hive at its peak.
