Hadrian and Trajan - A Brief History

Hadrian was the sole living male relative of Emperor Trajan. His career would obviously receive a healthy leg up, but so did a lot of other people's careers. But there is no indication that trajan was any more or less disposed towards his former rthan any one else. Hadrian appears to have had far more affection for his mother in law than his wife - which forever rank young sabina. And of course, it did not help any that hadrian was gay, a fact we'll explore in more detail next week.
