The Israeli calculations in this regard is always about how to maintain or re-establish, in this case, their deterrence. So they want to do enough to get the message across that it's not worth it to fire rockets into Israel but at the same time, not too much. And so that makes it possible for them to retaliate in a way that perhaps avoids the escalation,.
