I Want to Control My Platform, It's Mine, Podcast Network

The idea of people, you know, Spotify buying up shows and putting them behind their paywall and hiding them hasn't done great for Spotify. I think the answer is Spotify wants to be a major player in podcast adding ad serving, which they already are. But it's less likely that they're going to say, oh, if you want to be a podcast inside Spotify, we're going to insert some ads in your podcast that came from outside of Spotify without your approval or whatever. That seems like a weird place for them to go down.
