Is There a 50-50 Chance of a Nuclear War?
I don't get into numbers. I would actually, the way I like to phrase it is, I will be happily surprised if it does not. There's a trend toward weapons that create more ambiguity and more fair scenarios which is very dangerous. How do you get countries to move away from those types of systems that are more likely than others to introduce a miscalculation risk between parties? The Biden administration has been pushing the policy in a more constrained and restrained manner on that regard. So things like that are, again, practical things that we can do now that can help reduce the risk that either a future US leader will end up using nuclear weapons or another country will misread our actions.
