The Idea of Cockroach D B.

Cockroach d b is an open-source version of Spanner, Google's data storage system. It was developed by the same co founders who left gogle to start a new company called square. The idea for cockroach came from looking at what other companies were doing with their systems and how they could improve on it. They looked at h base, mongo d b, ria, cassandra before coming up with cockroach.
