How Do Interviews Go From 30 Minutes to an Hour?

I found that when the interviews go from 30 minutes to an hour like an hour I'm comfortable. When it's 30 minutes I feel rushed sometimes like I got to get this in and I got to getting this in. If you're on a red carpet there's a chance you might only get one question so that could be a 30 to 60 second interviewso you got to leave with your best question. You got to try to build rapport from the second that you shake their hand and that's really difficult but all you're trying to get there is just a sound bite.
