Stand Up Comedians Have to Get Better

Each generation of whatever you do has to get better and better. And it can make fewer and fewer mistakes that'll be for runners or tennis players, or what have you. So if we don't give them that license of making those mistakes and then improving their sets as well, you're never going to produce comedians. It's just one of those things that even now when I go on stage, I know that the comedy I do now has to be exponentially better than the comedy I did when I was starting out.
