The interview was published in harets, which is an israeli newspaper associated with the left wing. Most people in the world do not have 150 friends that they call once a year to ask how they are doing. Dunbar says that social networks actually helped him gather data on a huge scale. And reaffirm his findings. People said to me that this doesn't make sense, because they have more than 500 friends on facebook. But when we did an accurate analysis of the number of friends of 61 million unique users, we found that, on average, the exact number of friends was 100 forty nine.
