Chat GPT is about 400 layers, and you're just going once through it. Every every new word it's going to compute just says here are the numbers from the words before. It computes the probabilities that it estimates for each of the possible 50,000 words that could come next. And then it decides sometimes it will use the most probable wordSometimes it will use not the most probableword. The thing goes bonkers, particularly at a particular temperature I may be about 1.2 or more. But as soon as you feed it the whole thing that it came up with it immediately knows that that isn't right.
