Why Can't Christ Be a Human Person?

Sed Contra: A Podcast of Catholic Theology

CHAPTER

Is Christ a Human Person?

The question of whether Christ was a human person, we shouldn't understate this significance of this theological problem. The fathers take very seriously the claim that he became like us and all things apart from sin,. which is from Hebrews 415 in which was quoted in the definition of Calcedon. A Polynarius wanted to emphasize the divinity of the sun but what he ended up doing was denying that Christ had a human soul or human mind. And so there's an important doctrine that results from it called the Assumption Doctrine.
