The Importance of a Solid Base in Language Learning

If we focus more on what we have below the surface in our language ability, then we should be less concerned about what we're able to use. And even if that little bit that sticks up that's visible is ugly or jagged or rough around the edges, it doesn't matter. If we continue using the bit that we can see, then if we have a solid base beneath us, we will gradually improve. So I just wanted to leave that thought with you.
