The Cost of Police Dogs Without E-Colors
Police chiefs love having police dogs until they're not. Until you have that one harrowing event that's now caught on body worn video and all of a sudden boom, the cost benefit analysis isn't so favorable. The trouble is all it takes is one event like that in one town for something to become a federal level case decision. When the Supreme Court or an appellate court comes down and lays down a decision like that, it affects the ripples. It will hit every law enforcement agency in that court's jurisdiction.
