The Theory of Power and Politics

They have a theory of power and politics, that first of all that power and politics and knowledge are basically the same thing. They also believe that power is intrinsically corrupting and self-serving so when I say power here though, I mean particularly being belonging to a social group that is theorized to be dominant. If you're a member of these dominant groups, then you have an intrinsic corruption and you're always acting in a self-serving way. Those systems of power are rooted in identity, it used to be economics under Marx, but it's not anymore,. It has moved to culture, that was the Frankfurt School of Critical Theory, and then it has moved from there again into identity
