The risks posed by the deadlift are relatively small. If you do it properly, if you know proper form, and if you program it correctly, but why should you do it? What's in it for you? Even if it only entails a small amount of risk, if it doesn't also provide a fair amount of benefit, then it's not worth doing, right? You might as well just do other exercises.
