Primary Memberness Nephropathy (FSGS)

Memberness nephropathy is secondary in up to 25% of cases, with secondary etiologies including underlying cancers. Patients should be asked if they are up to date with age-appropriate cancer screening or if they have any constitutional symptoms that may suggest the presence of malignancy. It is important to screen for systemic symptoms or risk factors of acute or chronic viral infections such as parvovirus and HIV.
