Is Your Child Refusing to Jump Into Things?

A number of parents have written in to say that their kids have menously negative attitudes. They reject family outings or things that they seem otherwise to enjoy. So i ask parents to take a moment o a little self reflection here. Have we as parents contributed to that problem because of our nattering, our bitching and motinng about what the kids are doing wrong? If that's the case, then we could be part of that problem. And if you don't set it up as a positive, as a wind wind, no wonder they're upset. You're asking them to go into a situation they don't like, they don't enjoy. There's nothing in it for them
