"We're trying to be the freshest producers. Like I do that because I was so influenced by, you know, the Neptune's in Timberland who were always making records from the future," says Diplo. "I wasn't like Ryan Teder or the dream where like, you get me in the studio, you're paying top dollar. I'm guaranteed getting you hit." He adds: "You need record like climax. That makes people feel like, wow, she was kind of sad in this song or whatever"
