How to Edit a Book
When you're two months in, you think, hang on, what did I put in chapter three? Oh my God, he's not even called that. shifting blocks around have a lot more repercussions in books which makes the edit process up fascinating. You know it's that kind of, I've got someone who's doing a rewrite on a script of mine at the moment. And I said to look, don't sit down to rewrite this script. Write some favorite bits. Just write some bits. Sometimes you know I'm 20,000 30,000 words into a book and then one day I go, "Oh, God I'm in." It just clicks even in the edit.
