The Slowdown in Computing Power
In the 19 twenties and 19 thirties, innovation was adding value at a rate of about two to three % a year. More recent times, we're actually lucky if the value added from innovation is one % a year,. Sometimes it's half a % a year. But i absolutely would admit computing power is an exception to the slowdown. I think it's relatively small changes compared to what my grandmother saw. The internect connected us all and spread innovation and so forth. And, you know, it's backed by things like moore's law, where the fundamental engines of distribution of information doubling in power at a shockingly rapid pace.
