The Oldest Synagogue in the United States

Savannah is one of those towns that has its really long history in this country. It was founded in 17 thirties when a shipload of portuguese jews blew off course and ended up off the coast of savannah. A gropintevisual synagogue, my father was the president of in the late 19 seventies. My mother was its first female president. Its 275 year in the 19 eighties, is the third oldest synagogue in the country. The oldest is in rhode island, as you know. And then the second oldest is on the upper east side of new york city. And the third oldest is in savannah.
