i think actually watching the matrix movie had some influence on me and thinking about a me to about virtual worlds. They treat id like it's all an illusion, but what about the people out there living genuine lives with their family and friends inside the matrix? That's not meaningless. And then you get to combine that with using real avar technology on the non ideal case, the actual case, and that can take you in in some new direction.
