Novavax's Challenges

Novavax was struggling financially and having some difficulty getting that vaccine out the door in a timely manner. So what we had to do now is shape the company to match the size of the market opportunity. In my first three months, I worked with the management team and our board of directors to cut our expenses 50%. That's not an easy challenge, but it's certainly an exciting one. And I know it can be overcome.
