C.S. Lewis's Transhumanism
Lewis' St. Ant is about a household of people who are there because they're decent and then end up being kind of like the last stand, you know, before the powers of evil. I think it was also influenced by C.S. Lewis's correspondence with an Anglican nun called Sister Penelope Lawson at a convent pretty close to Oxford. The attitude towards the land and towards animals, which kind of seems, seems tangential, but it's pretty, it's pretty much baked in there.
