The Traditional Story of the Early Anabaptists

Sage writes to ask, good morning, doctor clark. What is the historical slash confessional view on ans being oppressed slash possessed by demons? Are there certain things that open christians up to the ability to have this kind of demonic influence attached to them? I'm looking for sources that address this. In a sense, i believe that confessional christianity would say, no, this isn't possible, because the spirit of the living god is in you. But that is merely a young reformed girl's gut instinct.
