I've seen it in a bedouin land courts, for examplewerewhere the judge will say something to one party, you're right, but can we come to an agreement where the other side can also take care of his family? Right? This is the kind of thing that i think as is oth, this balance between the needs of the idual and the responsibility of the group. If you listen very deeply to somebody else, you can understand and ampathize much more with who they are and whater their needs are. And so i think that that's what this would look like to people who listen better to each other," she says.
