The Cost of Managed Practices
In the last five years, there'd been 38 GP practices and they've handed back their contracts. The average overspend per patient at managed practices was £53.38. That's approximately a third more than the global sum that's being spent on the managed practices per patient per year. If you compare that to the current open-ended time commitment of the independent contractor model, which has to be valued, it's seen as valued for money when we look at these figures.
