The Future of AI Art and Copyright

Artists are suing Getty images for unlawfully scraping their work. Microsoft, GitHub and open AI are also being sued over copyright violations. But none of these cases is intended to shut down generative AI tools. They are intended to ensure that creators and owners of intellectual property are fairly compensated for training models.
