The Clinical Depression I Suffered for Years Afterward
The author says he suffered depression for years because of his mistake about the Iraq War. "Iraq was not an abstraction for me, the way it was for most others in Washington" He traveled there alone in the 80s when Saddam Hussein was in power and couldn't imagine a more oppressive totalitarian climate. The book is based on interviews with former U.S. military officers who served in Iraq.
