Why Is Union Membership Trending Down?
I agree that, historically speaking, unions played a crucial role in winning all those victories. But why is union membership trending down? I don't think it's simply a reflection of a lack of education and not knowing what a union does. A massive part of union's inability to be effective in our society day is the derconian restrictions on union activity. And then we have some of the estrictest, strictest strike action laws in the world. Athas played a role, as is other our legislations am tining on union activity,. m and the er, the banny of union preference and so on.
