Before 9-11 i was like i'm getting out of Afghanistan. My first deployment to afghanistan was basically building the out stations along uh the pakistani border which is now you know corgough valley all those places that are now known as "corgough Valley" I re-enlisted for six years with the intent of going to the the other unit or trying to go to the other unit, he says. He's not sure how much combat experience he had when he switched from machine gunner to sniper at this point in his career.
