Is Social Media Designed for Humility?
i've always fought with social media and why it's not designed for humility. If you wanted to post about your meditation practice, well, first off, you wouldn't post. But if you did, you would probably take a photo of the ocean or the mountain that you're looking at. You don't have to be in the shot. So whenever i see someone posting a photo of themselves in meditation, that, to me, completely lacks humility. It really gets hard to have conversations around humility on social medium when the actual communication system is not designed to facilitate such conversations. And i want to give a shout out to philosophy professor tinwynn, our fantastic guest host from episode 55.
