Sisters on Cut - Abolition of Domestic Violence Services
A lot of domestic violence services rely on some kind of partnership with that much more securitized like side of the state or the policing wing of the state. We've seen huge numbers of women being arrested, as I said, vulnerable to deportation, getting detained and deported,. These are a lot of them survivors who these domestic violence services were purportedly there to protect and support. And so our organizing is quite an interesting arc in terms of how our understanding of power has developed.
