The Importance of Adverbial Clauses in Narratives

Some have remarked that my childhood wasn't normal and I can't deny their statements entirely. This is a weirdly non-committal wishy, washy sentence. That's the kind of phrase you hear on Fox News when they're trying to disguise editorialising by attributing opinions to multiple unnamed sources. But your narrator isn't doing this. They don't seem to be hiding anything. In fact, they're weirdly blunt not telling us a story so much as presenting us with a list of facts. You can't go through life worrying about annoying people.
