IEPs and 504s in the Modern Classroom
Modern classroom does provide that ongoing coaching and support. We try to pair you up with a mentor who is currently teaching so you can have those conversations because again like you said Melody poor examples really do impact and hurt someone's beliefs. I had a lot of students with IEPs and 504s in my classroom and yes they needed a lot more scaffolding but then at the end they were able to advocate for what they needed which I thought was something that I didn't have before. And having been in your classroom pre-modern classrooms and after just like how empowered kids felt and could explain what they needed it made me feel calmer.
