How Much Can You Buy With Your $100 in New York City?
If you had $100 and went to New York City, how much could you buy there? The answer is 86 bucks. But if you got a job identical to the one you had back home, you would earn 123. That's because businesses there pay more because the cost of living is higher. And when you take into account the prices are higher, you actually end up being able to buy $106 worth of stuff.
